LMT Mathematical Knowledge for Teaching Sample Items
Description
The Learning Mathematics for Teaching project has released a set of sample items for measuring mathematical content knowledge for teaching. These items can be useful in many different contexts: as open-ended prompts which allow for the exploration of teachers' reasoning about mathematics and student thinking; as materials for professional development or teacher education; as exemplars of the kinds of mathematics teachers must know to teach.
